Wimbledon Live Exclusively on Sky Until 2018
9 April 2014 – Unterföhring, Germany: Sky will remain the home of the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. Sky and The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon, have agreed to extend their coverage of The Championships until and including the year 2018.
This means that Sky will continue covering the Grand Slam tournament live and exclusively over the next five years.
In addition to the TV broadcasting rights, the new agreement – which was brokered on behalf of Sky by IMG Media – also includes the exclusive internet, IPTV and mobile rights.
As a further benefit for tennis fans in Germany, in the event of a German player reaching a singles final, coverage of the final will be available on channels of maximum audience reach.

In 2014, Sky will report live on the 128th edition of The Championships, Wimbledon, between 23 June and 6 July. As in previous years, Sky will broadcast the tournament on various channels and cover the action in parallel on several courts live and in HD. With Sky Go, tennis fans won’t miss a single rally and have access to all live broadcasts via the web, iPad or iPhone as well as the Xbox360.
In addition, Sky customers can watch daily highlight clips shortly after each tournament day on the Sky Mediathek on sky.de. Sky Sport News HD will also keep the viewers up to date, providing the latest news on the tennis highlight of the year.
